Bobby Brown in rehab as part of DUI plea deal

Bobby Brown  has checked himself into rehab, his rep said Thursday, as part of the plea deal that made his March DUI arrest go away. The R&B singer, 43, checked into a "confidential rehabilitation center” last week, Brown’s spokesman said in an email to the Associated Press on Thursday. The plea agreement required 90 days of alcohol treatment, his rep said.
"Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour," spokesman Christopher Brown told CNN, adding that the singer was "doing well."
Daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, however, seemed to disagree, telling TMZ that "rise above" was not a phrase that should be used in connection with her dad's alcohol battle.
