But it turns out that the actress, 40, who was snapped wearing a revealing black bra and tight jeans Tuesday, was only acting in the role of her "Modern Family" character Gloria Delgado-Pritchett.
In the images, Vergara displays a variety of comical facial expressions as she lets her belly hang out of her outfit - all while wearing sky-high heels, of course.
Vergara and her costars were on set at The Grove in Beverly Hills kicking off filming for season four of the hit series.
Fans of the ABC sitcom will remember that season three ended with a cliffhanger, with Vergara's Gloria telling her stepson Mitchell and his partner Cam that she was pregnant.
And judging by the looks of it, Vergara and the rest of the "Modern Family" cast will have quite the storyline to continue with next season.
Just last month, the fate of the show hung in the air as the adult cast members from the series disputed their contracts with 20th Century Fox TV.
Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell joined together to file a lawsuit in a Los Angeles Superior Court against the company, claiming that their contracts were illegal.
The cast even skipped the show's first table read of the season.
Shortly afterward, however, the two sides reached a resolution and filming for the new season was set to continue as planned.
"It's not a surprise, but I'm, of course, thrilled and I cannot wait to get on stage Monday morning and start making the show again," co-creator Steve Levitan told The Hollywood Reporter. "It'll feel great; I'm sure everybody is going to be very relieved and I hope that it's the beginning of a great season."
